No, not any more painful than other dental procedures like a crown. I have heard of people who’s root canals got infected and had a lot of problems. I personally have had two root canals with no more pain than some deep filings and have known 4 or 5 friends who had root canals with no pain.

Not the procedure that isnt painful. Having the pain which indicates you need a root canal is, from what ive heard, one of the worst pains you could experience.
