Emergency~ help my guppy…her scale is popping off(Only her belly part)?
After my guppy born her fries (baby) her belly is smaller but her scale is popping off(Only her belly part). Is it normal? Otherwise what is that? Is she sick? She does not eat at all.

Dropsy : This is when all the scale of the fish stands up into a pine-cone shape. Bacterial septicaemia is the cause of this disease which is a type of inflammation on the blood vessels. There is no specific medication for it and since it is not infectious other fishes are safe from it. Since it occurs when the water is polluted, make sure that the water is changed frequently for prevention.

anyway check the pH of the water and the other essentials (nitrates, Clorine ect.)
there are general medicine tabs you gen get your fish (like one for tail rot, scale rot and even ich too im not sure) but like just go to the fish store and look around for a wile at the differant meds and find one that matces the description the closest.
As a Guppypronologist I would have to recommend that you buy an Oscar or Jack Dempsy for your guppy. After giving birth the guppy tend to feel helpless to protect her young so naturally she will need a very dominant fish to look after them. The scales that drop are due to stress.
It kinda sounds like the Ick and most pet stores carry Ick medicine for fish.
Are these fish in a tank or a bowl?
First, check the pH of the water.
There are additives you can get for the water for your fish (pH stablizers, fine and tail rot meds, and some for Ick).
Did you separate the fries from momma? You may want to.
Make sure there are no other fish in there with them as they may eat the guppy and fries.

Hmm, Just a few scales? Usally the whole fish looks like a pine cone, could be the early stages of dropsy.
(Ick symtoms are little white spots (looks like salt) It can’t be Ick).

I wouldn’t get overly concerned about this. Unless there is another Guppy that is picking on her, I’d say she is fine.
Just keep an eye on here, and don’t worry about it. An early sign Dropsy would also be my guess, but that has got to be soooooooo hard to tell with a Guppy.
i have never heard of this happening and since there really isnt a vet for fish i suggest making her as comfortable as possible cuz she is probably going to die. get another one
