Help!!! The doctor said my cervix has thinned, and the baby is putting on a lot of pressure.?

I have not dilated, but right now I am having very very sharp pain on the scale of 9 in pain, and they are not going away. Could this mean I am in labor.

I ‘m not sure if it’s true labor but if the pain is a 9 out of 10, I think you should call your OB .

      Good luck!

Yes it could mean you are in labor or it could be false labor especially if you aren’t dilated at all yet. Call your doctor and report the pain that you are feeling to be sure it isn’t an emergency.

It depends on how far along you are and where the pain is located… If your cervix is thinning then that can be where the pain is coming from!! When your cervix thins the baby will drop and put alot more pressure on your pelvic bone then normal… Maybe even pintching a nerve!!! I would just time your pains and see if they are regular!!! Once they are like 5 min apart i would start on your way to the hospital!! Congrats on the new baby!! Also just use your mommy instinct!! If you think something is really wrong or you think you are in labor.. Go get it checked out :) Never hurts to check things out!! Good Luck!!

It very well could mean that your labor has started! Call you doctor or your labor and delivery unit at the hospital. They can check you over and monitor your contractions to see if you are getting ready to deliver. Good luck!

If you are having a hard time breathing, walking or talking through the contractions its time to go to the hospital and possibly have your baby.

The only way to know would be to get checked……I am having something similar happen and I went to the hospital and found out it was contractions and I am slightly dilated.

      You could be in labor.

However, if you are not having contractions they might send you home.. but it sounds like you are cause I was feeling the same thing when I went into labor.

      9 is a painful number.
