Approaching 10. It can even be that way with an epidural sometimes.

    i am a mom of 6…

    5 vaginal births and 1 c section….

    3 were delivered with NOTHING..

the pain scale is …KILL ME LORD…when in labor..but when you hold that baby …its soooo incredible..you forget..and do it again…

and a c section recovery sucked.

    I’m curious too….
I mean I can’t really deal with horrible cramps, so I’m usually afraid of the pain in giving birth/labor. Lol.
Oh well. I’ll star this. ^^

  24. lil lulu on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

    FROM 1-10

A 10 WITH NO PAIN KILLER
THEN IT DEPENDS ON THE PAIN KILLER THEY USED TO STOP THE PAIN

  25. Angelita on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

it depends on your pain threshold
it is similiar in the feeling as menstural cramping. but amplified.

It starts off not too bad…but near the end during a period called transition which only lasts up to 10-20 mins? (i forget) i t can get pretty intense, but it its only during hte contractions…

    check out bradley method

  28. Nadia W on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

I had a miscarriage but the doctor told me its just like being in labor. To me it felt like really bad menstraul cramps that come really sharp every couple of minutes and once the baby comes out; you feel a whole lot better trust me. Just keep in mind that every women is different and its not as bad as you see it on tv.

As a father who has been there by her side during delivery and learned to turn sideways to protect the family "Jewels" I would say 10. However, both ex-wives told me after giving birth that it was the biggest "ORGASM" ever!

  30. ~ 925 ~ on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

It’s different for everybody. I’ve had 4 vaginal deliveries (one set of twins) and the only pain relief was the gas and I was up walking around within 20 to 30 mins. I never has any tearing or anything. I’d give it a 6. Now kidney stones that’s off the scale.

  33. cupcake on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

I’ve never delivered vaginally, but I have had 2 c-sections. The actual c-section procedure doesn’t hurt since you are completely numb, but the recovery afterward is what hurts like hell, especially with my 1st baby. I give it a 10.

Erma Bombeck, a great america humorist once said
to experience the pain of child birth all one needs to do is pull their bottom lip up over their forehead

Well i’m a mummy of 3, They were all born naturally with no drugs!

At the time all i could think was OH MY GOD WHEN WILL THIS END, GIVE ME LOTS OF DRUGS!!!
But even though it was total agony, It didn’t hurt nearly as much as i had prepared myself for.
I’d say its like a 6 or 7 /10 and probably a lot lower if you have the drugs!

  36. Shaz on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

Expel a watermelon from your anus and you’ll get the idea.

    10. Experience.

  37. Madam Naka on October 29th, 2010 | 6:25 am

There is not a number high enough on that scale. My husband wanted to wait outside. I grab his shirt collar and sounding demonic told him, "you are not going ANYWHERE!" I was hooked up on drugs right after that.

The good news is that though you remember it…you don’t really remember it all.

That Epidural was worth 10 times what they charged for it.
