How can you weigh the mass of a baby who cannot stand on a bathroom scale?

My parents says it’s something like a kitchen scale but i want to know it’s right name.

    Find a large tub you can fill with water.
    Measure the tub of water.
    COMPLETELY submerge your baby in the water, for at least a good 5 minutes, so the sloshing of the water won’t cause the scale to incorrectly weigh the combined tub, water, and baby mixture.
    Subtract the weight of the baby, tub, and water and the weight of the tub and water and you’ll end up with the resulting weight of the baby.
