How much did your baby weigh at 8 months? and at birth?

I’m interested in seeing where my daughter is on the weight scale. :) Thank you!
What is the average for an 8 month old?

My daughter was 6lbs. 10oz at birth.

At 8 months she was 17lbs. 4 oz.

My son weighed 9lbs 1.6 oz at birth and weighed 19lbs last month when we visited his doctor. So i’m guessing he’s about 20 pounds now. :)

Sounds about the same all around. My boy was 8lbs 3 oz and is now 17lbs. tall boy, and slim. Where are all the super chubby babies? you know we see them in the stores.

my lil munchkin was 9 pounds 7 ounces at birth and i was all baby weight.. his dad is 6’4 go figure and i had to have c section.. now that he is 8 1/2 months old he is like about 24-25 pounds… hes quite tall for his age and has always been in the top 95 plus percentile.. hes got a lil baby chub.. LOL.. but hes a healthy breastfed baby.. =)

Although my son hasn’t been weighed at the doctor’s since he was 6 mos. old, I believe he weighs just over 18 lbs at 8 mos. (according to my scale). My son has always been around the 20th percentile (with the exception of his birth). I’m just under 5′ tall and my husband is around 5′ 9", so I can’t imagine him being a very big kid. He was 8 lbs 4 oz at birth. He was born at 41 weeks.

My dd was born at 9 lbs and is around 16.5 lbs at 7 1/2 months. That is a bit on the skinny side – I think "average" is about 18…..

You can see where your daughter falls precisely using a growth calculator such as

However, remember that most curves are based on formula-fed babies; BF babies usually increase in wt more slowly after the first few months so tend to fall a bit in the wt percentiles. Also, what matters is not what percentile your baby is, but that she is following a fairly constant curve – if she was a big baby at birth, you would expect her to be in a slightly above-average percentile now, and vice versa.
