how old was your toddler when the doc weighed them w/ a stand-up scale?

I am taking my child to her 19mth checkup and was curious to when they start using stand-up scale. At her 15mth check-up they were still using the baby scale where she had to lay down upon it. Thx!!

My children were about that age. If they seemed really alert and willing then they would weigh then on the standup scale, but if they weren’t willing or they were kinda out of it they would weugh them on the baby one.

They used the stand-up scale for my daughter at 11 months when she went in with a cough. She was able to walk, and they said that’s when they switch over.

When my child was clearly walking into the office….my son was a late walker, he walked at 15 months, so he started the "stand up" scale at that point. Hope that helps!

Not sure….my son at 15 months was still laying on the scale. Which makes me laugh EVERY single time because he’s doing pilates for crying out loud….trying to lift his head and his legs…LOL. It kills me every time!

Strange, my son walked at like 9 months (no joke) and we’ve still been doing the lay down kind? Maybe we need to upgrade?

They will usually start when your baby can walk really well with out falling over.

Huh, I didn’t even think of using the stand up scale last time (12mo visit) we were at the docs & my son can stand/walk just fine!! Now I feel horrible because he absolutely hated being forced to lie down :(

Depends on how big they are I guess and if they can stand still.

My son was standing up at the scale by his 15 month check up.
