If mineral oil is "bad", then why does johnson and johnson put it in their baby lotions, which are "mild"?
I’ve read that out of a scale of 0-5, 5 being clogging the most, mineral oil is a 1 or 2.
However, soo many women are against it (I think this is just a rumor that became really popular).
So…my question is in the heading.

Baby OIL and baby LOTION are too completely different things.
One of them is obviously more non-cosmogenic than the other.

mineral oil pulls a little of the babies nutrients from their skin. Baby lotion has a tiny amount which likely is not harmful, but don’t use regular baby oil on a baby. Talcum powder either. It has been found to be a chief ingredient in ovarian cancer.

What I know: Mineral oil has a larger molecular structure and it does not penetrate the skin. An example would be Victoria Secret lotions….if you have ever put them on in the summer, you legs sweat and sweat because your skin is trying to push it off – it has not been absorbed. Mineral oil is very smooth, so it gives the appearance of a lotion that is good because it is soft – ibut t never penetrates or hydrates the skin. Because it is really refined petroleum, I choose to not put it on my body or that of my children through any of my personal care products. Anything you put onto your skin is absorbed by your blood within a minute – be healthy!
