In weighing a couple baby premature abandoned kittens that we are hand feeding…?

I weighed them on a scale that weighs in lbs, anyway, the one baby weighed 1 lb plus 1/4 plus one notch over the 1/4 lb mark, so what would that be, in other words how much does that baby weigh?

Where’d you find a scale that measures that small, btw? Mine goes from 0-20lbs and each notch in between is a lb. Anyway, it would be 1lb 4oz or 20 oz. Your choice really. 1lb=16oz. They don’t sound premature though. kittens don’t weigh all that much when they’re born.

"Kittens weigh about 100 grams (3-5 ounces) at birth and gain approximately 7 to 15 grams per day (a quarter to over half an ounce)"

One pound 5 oz most likely.
