My puppy is loosing her baby teeth, but her breath is HORRIBLE!!! advice?

ok, i work in a dental clinic, and i’ve never smelled breath this bad!!! i brush her teeth regularly, but its not making a difference. she doesn’t eat her own poo, so thats not it. i pick up her poo right after she does it. but this breath is a 10 out of 10 on the stink scale! is it because she’s loosing her baby teeth?

Our Papillon just went thru the same thing. The best thing we found was a spearmint favored rope by Fresh & Floss at Petco. The good thing is that it comes in different sizes so it will work no matter the dog. Give it a try.

If it is not the typical "puppy breath" take her to the vet for a check up and teeth cleaning.

Ah bless her, she can’t help it. Its not her teeth, or lack of ha ha thats causing the bad breath, its her diet – what are you feeding her? I can bet she’s very ‘ windy ‘ too eh? Give her charcoal ( black ) biscuits to munch on, they’ll get rid of the wind and the badness thats causing the bad breath. Give her a polo mint now and again, thats also great for wind and a raw carrot two or three times a day is great for digestion – its certainly not her teeth!

You should ask your vet for some doggy breath freshener. There are mint treats that you can give them also. But I would ask the vet. Good luck!
