Hey Michelle! Hapy belated Easter….just wanted to let you know i did vote and will go back in to re vote for ya! Well, did the morning cry with you…this was painful to watch and your words touched my heart as I know all too well what your relationship is/was like. It makes me think how the honeymoon period will happen and that realization will set in. I again thank you for your honesty about how this surgery/transition is affecting you five weeks out. Still rootin’ for you …hang in There!

18 years after WLS it is still sometimes hard.. Grief and feelings of loss are also common to us all. The giant task is to downsize the brain, and learn to satisfy oneself with tiny portions. Your vlogs indicate that…although you eat far less than before..the amount of total daily calories you are eating may still be a great deal more than most small normal sized people require…and are definely more than my own body can use, even now. I wish success for you, and cheer you on.

@DietHobby aww, thanks! this learning curve is hard, because the mind is still an addict mind. and i STILL desire the old food, and the old ways of eating. ill get it. eventually. one day. lol :) MICHELLE

Hope things start getting better for you!! Just give it time and remember to tell me the same once I get my surgery!

I am so afraid of this part because I became a food addict when I gave up smoking so I gave up one addiction for another, and that scares me… I think the one thing I got going for me is that I realized that I did that.
On another note, I thought there was a cricket in my house till I noticed it was from your video lol… I kept pausing it and getting up looking for the darn cricket about three times till I noticed it was coming from your video….

That is a tough thing to watch other be able to enjoy what you can’t have :( . And don’t worry about crying over it… you are going through a grieving process. Perfectly normal IMHO. Food is something we all enjoy and to give up one of life’s pleasures like that is always going to be a hard thing. Hang in there, it will be so worth it in the end.

@ObeseToSlim its not actually watching them eat it, its i cant have it, because i cant hold it all. and missing the fact i used to be able to have a burger AND freis, AND another burger…*sigh*. i just keep telling myself, that its gonna ll be worth it in the end…the trade off is the prize, and im looking forward to THAT! MICHELLE

This video is the reason I subbed!! It is hard to fake real emotion when it hits you. Food is or was our “friend” and now that we can’t have it like we did there is a feeling of loss. I know that you will get through this period and I pray that I am as strong as you are trying to cope with it. Good luck and God Bless!!!

@the1losing i am prolly one of the most REAL people on here. im sure there are others but they keep themselves guarded. anyone in real life could tell you, i cry over everything at the drop of a hat..i wear my emotions on my sleeve and im not afraid to express. its just how i was made, and if im going to share something as personal as this journey, then you should all know how i feel about everything. just trying to keep it real! thanks for being there! :) MICHELLE
