With your first baby were you overdue, early, or right on schedule?
Just interested. I heard that only 5% or so women give birth on their due date. Personally, I was 4 days early. Where did you fall on the due date scale?

a very long 2 weeks overdue
My little girl was born the day before my due date.
I was due on July 21,2007, was schedualed to be induced on July 14,2007 and I delivered a beautiful baby boy on July 6th 2007 i was 27 hours into labor, when I started to get an infection, I was vomiting and passing out, and was taken to an emergency c-section, where i needed a blood transfusion, my incision continued to get infected and was reopened on the 14th an was open and being packed 3 times a day for 4 months. It was all worth it when i looked into my babys eyes, and is still worth it every minute.
With my first pregnancy i was 2 weeks overdure which led FINALLY to an induced pregnancy!…..
My babies were 1-on time, 2-1 day early, 3-6 days late, 4-4 days early, 5-2weeks early and 6- is cooking got 10 weeks to go.
Well i had an appointment on the 13th of april in the hosp for a check up and she was all smiley and nice to me and asked was i all set and did i have my bag packed etc i was polite back well as polite as i could be at that late stage in pregnacy. so i was leaving and she smiled at me and i said ill see you soon i just thought she meant in a week or so as i was due on the 18th april and i heard you never go early on your first baby but low and behold i was only home a few hours and i went into labour so my beautiful wee girl was born on the 14th april 4 days early also.

My wife was 16 days late. and I was happy because he was born on my birthday! …of corse she wasnt so happy about the 16 day wait.
i was induced ten days after my due date and she was born 12 days after my due date,
weighing a whopping 9lb7oz
went early. Had no choice as there were some major complications.
I had a very inaccurate due date scale as my pregnancy was late to be detected.
He was due Feb 27 and I had him March 10
10pounds 4oz and I was in labor for 56 hours and pushed for over 2 hours.

Alot of people said they should have took him c-section and should have induced but Ihad one of those Dr.s that just wanted nature to run its course.
Hes now 19 years old and hes my only one. I remember like it was yesterday.
with my first baby i was 10 days early, induced due to the warning signs of pre-eclamsiya (badly spelt i know )
protein in my pee, high blood pressure etc.
My auntie was 4 weeks prem with her first baby.
i guess it just depends on life, the person pregnant and of course nature.
my dates for delivery (for both my children) were all over the place from one scan to the next, both came out at 6lb and 6lb 13 onces.
your baby will arrive when the time is right and not a moment before! unfortunatly some need medical persuasion, if thats you make sure the medical professionals keep you well informed of the process.
My advice to you would be if you go over your due date before allowing the doctors to induce labour artificially (using drugs) ask about a membrane sweep, the percentage of mums who had one done, who went into labour with in 48 hours is high. its mildly uncoftable for some. but gives you that push to get your baby on the way without the use of artificial means

I went to just about 43 weeks with all 3 of my kids…I was induced with one…and the second I went on my own, but still needed pitocin…my 3rd completely on my own…but not till almost 3 weeks past my due date…this is going to be my 4th, and I will be induced at 38 weeks and 4 days, about 10 days before my actual due date.

My little boy was due on February 3rd 2006, i gave birth to him on January 20th! I was about 38 weeks.
